The YLDP Mission / Vision |
| The need for YLDP |
| Approximately 130,000 Indo-Americans live in the
greater Houston area. The Indo-American community is
highly successful and vibrant yet lacks visibility and
interaction with mainstream America. There is an immediate need to develop and nurture leadership skills in our upcoming generation of students to prepare them for future challenges and leadership opportunities. |
| YLDP Objectives |
| Identify deserving high school students from the Indo-
American community. Provide a strong curriculum to help build leadership skills through classroom sessions and practical internships. Exposure to highly coveted successful individuals in the Indo-American community for mentoring opportunities. Social networking opportunities with peer groups from across Houston. Graduated Youth earn scholarship awards and a certificate of completion at the end of the program. |
